HI THERE, I AM KATIE!

I'm passionate about helping people with Parkinson's stay active, build confidence, and continue doing the things they love through exercise, education, and wellness coaching.

Nothing brings me more joy than getting to know each person I work with and helping them discover that movement is medicine and can become one of the most powerful tools for living well with Parkinson's.

Through the years, I've seen firsthand how the right exercise program, guidance, and support can help people regain confidence, improve mobility, and build lifelong habits that support their health and well-being.

I'd love to help you do the same.

MY BACKGROUND

I earned my Doctorate of Physical Therapy from the University of Southern California (USC) and have spent the past ten years working with people living with neurologic conditions, including the last seven years specializing in Parkinson's disease.

I am a Board Certified Neurologic Clinical Specialist (NCS) and PWR! Certified, a Parkinson's disease-specific exercise certification. These experiences have shaped my passion for helping people with Parkinson's stay active through evidence-informed exercise, education, and wellness coaching.

WHY I CREATED MOVED BY MOVEMENT

I created Moved by Movement because I saw a gap in Parkinson's care.

Too often, people receive physical therapy, are encouraged to exercise, and then are left wondering what to do next. Many people are left without the ongoing guidance, education, and support they need to stay active for the long term.

At the same time, working within a large healthcare system left me wanting more time to truly connect with and support the people I cared for.

Moved by Movement was created to bridge the gap between rehabilitation and lifelong wellness by providing ongoing exercise, education, coaching, and community for people living with Parkinson's.

MY APPROACH

A Parkinson's diagnosis can bring uncertainty, but you don't have to navigate it alone.

I believe exercise should be practical, enjoyable, and something you can continue for life. Whether you're participating in my online group program or working with me one-on-one, my goal is to help you understand what to do, why it matters, and how to continue progressing over time.

Rather than simply leading workouts, I focus on providing exercise, education, and wellness coaching that empowers you to exercise with confidence both inside and outside of our sessions. My goal is to help you build the knowledge, consistency, and healthy habits needed to make movement a lifelong part of living well with Parkinson's.
